Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship

The foundation of the PPIA Fellowship is access to the JSI Program. Hosted at some of the top graduate policy schools in the nation, these six-week summer programs prepare students with the knowledge and network to succeed in the field of public service. Students of all backgrounds are welcome to apply to the PPIA Fellowship.

Value: Full tuition at a PPIA Junior Summer Institute that includes coursework in statistical, quantitative, and policy analysis; visits to local, state, and federal government organizations and NGOs; guest lectures and panel discussions from public servants, PPIA alumni, and university faculty; GRE test prep resources; summer capstone project and presentation; stipend provided upon program completion; access to PPIA Network; and opportunity to receive financial support for graduate school education if attend one of the programs in Graduate school consortium.

Eligibility: To be eligible applicants must: (1) Have junior status at the time of application; (2) must not have bachelor's degree at time of application; (3) Be US citizens, legal permanent residents, or DACA recipients (all sites) OR international students (for CMU, Princeton or University of Washington Summer institutes); (4) be committed to pursuing a professional career associated with public service (e.g., government, nonprofit, humanitarian, or international affairs organization; and (5) be interested in contributing to the diverse perspectives presented in the program.
