LTC Jeffrey Wade is a native of Manchester, New Hampshire and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and was commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer.  His first duty assignment was in 4-319 Field Artillery Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) in Bamberg, Germany.  While there, he served in a variety of leadership positions including Platoon Leader, Battery Executive Officer, and Battalion Operations Officer.  After serving three years in Germany, LTC Wade attended the United States Marines Corps Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS) in Quantico, Virginia in lieu of his Captain’s Career Course.  Upon Graduation from EWS, he was assigned to 1-68 Armor Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado.  While there, he served as the Battalion Fire Support Officer prior to his transition to 3-29 Field Artillery Regiment to assume command of Charlie Battery.

 

After battery command, LTC Wade served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science (APMS) at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida for three years. During that time, he earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Administration through the University of Louisville. Following APMS duties, he attended the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where he completed his Intermediate Level Education. LTC Wade was subsequently assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas where he initially served as the Brigade Fire Support Officer with the 1st Cavalry Division Aviation Brigade (Air Cav).  After his time in Air Cav, he transitioned to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (Ironhorse) and served as Battalion S3 and XO in 1-82 Field Artillery Regiment.  Following his assignment at Fort Hood, LTC Wade served as an Observer Coach/Trainer (OC/T) for two years at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany. He has served as the Wildcat Battalion’s Professor of Military Science since July 2025.

 

LTC Wade’s deployments include Operation Enduring Freedom 2009-2010 (Afghanistan); Operation Spartan Shield 2015-2016 (Kuwait); and Operation Atlantic Resolve 2021 (Poland). He has earned the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Basic Army Instructor Badge, French Parachutist Badge, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold), and Ranger Tab.

 

LTC Wade’s military education includes the Field Artillery Officer’s Basic Course, USMC Expeditionary Warfare School, Intermediate Level Education, and the Joint Firepower Control Course. Throughout his career he earned numerous awards to include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, and Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters.

LTC Wade is married to the former Ms. Cynthia Farfan. They have three daughters: Liliana, Jacqueline, and Daniela.
