A native of Merrimack, New Hampshire, CPT Adam J. Floyd commissioned as a Finance Officer with a four-year branch detail to the Infantry through Norwich University ROTC in 2018.
He has since served in diverse leadership roles throughout his eight-year career, including Infantry Platoon Leader and Scout Platoon Leader in the 1-23 Infantry Battalion, 1-2 Stryker Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where he led his platoons through a National Training Center rotation and participated in advanced capability testing with Army Futures Command. CPT Floyd later transitioned to the Finance Corps, where he commanded Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 18th Airborne Corps Finance Battalion at Fort Liberty, NC, and then served as Battalion S3, Chief of Operations.
His military education includes the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, Airborne and Ranger Schools, Stryker Leader Course, Mountain Planners Course, Air Assault, and the Finance and Comptroller Captains Career Course.
CPT Floyd returns home, serving as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at UNH. He is joined by his wife Dayna, and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Mari.
