Tasha Dooley

Tasha Dooley served as an MP in the US Army, with a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Kirkuk, Iraq from 2008 to 2009.  While a student at UNH, Tasha earned an Associates in Applied Animal Science from the Thompson School, a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management & Policy and Event Management, and a Master of Science in Recreation Administration.  Tasha says the biggest lesson she learned while at UNH was “to be flexible with my goals. I knew I wanted to continue my education and that UNH was the best place for me. However, I did not have a definite career in mind. Getting as much experience as I possibly could and being flexible with my goals helped me to realize that a MS was achievable for me. No matter what direction I take, the education is invaluable.”  Her advice for incoming military students is to not be afraid to make changes.  “Whether its career changes or changing academic majors, do what makes you happy… Being venturesome and willing to persevere in the face of difficulty is what makes us successful.”  Tasha looks forward to finding employment as a federal civilian employee at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and to staying busy as a board member for Vouchers for Veterans.
