Alaina Rogers has lived in the beautiful state of New Hampshire for the last nine years, having served in the New Hampshire Air National Guard from 2014 until just this past February as a staff sergeant working in Aircrew Flight Equipment at Pease International Airbase. Alaina graduated with a Bachelor's in Environmental Conservation and Sustainability and will start interning at the Strafford Regional Planning Commission at the end of May 2020. Her advice for incoming military students is to jump-start on building your community when you come to UNH. She says, “College can be a lonely place for students with different backgrounds and mindsets than the average 18-year-old freshman, unless you reach out and try to build some relationships; and that is where the MVS Center comes in. It's a great place to meet like-minded people for good conversations, find help with your classes, and meet good friends.”
