Final Flight of Shuttle Atlantis Closes Chapter on UNH Space Science History

DURHAM, N.H. – When the Space Shuttle Atlantis lifts off from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center this Friday morning for its final voyage, it will bring to a close the ship’s 27-year flight history, the 30-year run of the shuttle program itself, and a chapter of space science history at the University of New Hampshire.

UNH Survey Center: New Hampshire Pessimistic About U.S. Military Interventions

DURHAM, N.H. – Support for President Barack Obama’s handling of foreign policy remains low in New Hampshire, with most Granite State adults continuing to oppose U.S. involvement in Libya and to be pessimistic about Iraq and Afghanistan, according to the latest WMUR Granite State Poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center.

Five hundred sixteen (516) randomly selected New Hampshire adults were interviewed by telephone between June 21 and July 1, 2011. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4.3 percent.

UNH Seacoast Alumni Chapter 'Meet and Greet' with Head Coaches at Foster's Downeast Clambake Aug. 2

UNH Survey Center: Obama Approval Rating Remains Low in New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. – President Barack Obama’s job performance rating in New Hampshire remains low, with his handling of the economy the most significant factor in dragging down his popularity, according to the latest WMUR Granite State Poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center.

Names of N.H. Soldiers to be Added to War Memorial at The University of New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. - The names of two New Hampshire soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan will be unveiled on the commemorative plaque in the war room at the University of New Hampshire Tuesday, July 12, 2011.

Army Chief Warrant Officer Christopher R. Thibideau, formerly of Marlborough, died May 28, 2011, after his helicopter crashed during combat operations Afghanistan. He was a helicopter pilot assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade out of Fort Hood Texas.
