Piero Garofalo earned his doctorate in Italian studies from University of California-Berkeley and joined UNH in 1999. He is the co-founder of UNH-in-Italy Study Abroad Program. 

He can speak to the media on topics that include Fascism, contemporary Italy, Italian politics, Italian society, culture, and history; Italian literature and film; and study abroad.
