The Journey Continues
When Yussra Ebrahim ’16 attended the campus vigil following the November 2015 terrorist attacks on Paris, she was inspired to write an autobiographical piece about her experiences as a Muslim woman raised and educated in New Hampshire.
It was one more step on her path as a writer in what she hopes will be a career helping others use their stories to bring about positive change: Ebrahim will begin Emerson's MFA program in creative nonfiction this fall.
“My dream is to be a writer and a teacher,” she says. “UNH has wonderful professors, and I am very blessed to have worked at the Connors Writing Center these past three beautiful years.”
