From Scholar-Athlete to Recruiter
Daniel “Danny” Rowe ’16, a kinesiology major, excelled both on and off the field at UNH as a member of the football team and on the All-Academic Team all four years.
“This learning experience has been great for me on the field and off the field. It’s just been a beautiful growth experience for me — mentally and physically,” he says.
Even before graduation, Rowe’s job plans were set: He would join the Wight Foundation in Newark, New Jersey, as a recruiter. Rowe explains he attended boarding school for four years through the Wright Foundation and that experience helped him to excel at UNH.
If he could tell the incoming class of 2020 one thing, he says it would be to enjoy their time at UNH.
“The people here are what makes this place special. I’m leaving here saying this is my family,” he says, adding UNH faculty and coaches “are willing to help you no matter what — they want to see you be the best you can be when you leave here.”
