The University of New Hampshire has been ranked No. 42 among the 2024 Best Online MBA programs by U.S. News & World Report.
The UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics program tied as the fourth highest-ranked Online MBA in New England and is top ranked in New Hampshire. The program was first ranked in 2017 and has risen 36 spots since.
UNH Paul also ranked No. 39 for Best Online MBA for Veterans. The university participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which is available for students who are eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill at the 100% benefit level. There are 23 military veterans and active service members enrolled in the UNH Online MBA program.
“This ranking, based on qualitative and quantitative measures, demonstrates the strength and excellence of our MBA program among a very competitive field,” said Lucy Gilson, UNH Paul College dean. “Our online program gives working professionals from New Hampshire and beyond an opportunity to earn an advanced degree to advance their careers and aligns with UNH’s strategic priority to support the state’s economy with highly skilled professionals.”
Students enrolled in the UNH Paul College Online MBA program have the option of completing the entire degree online through asynchronously taught courses, as well as taking some courses in hybrid format, combining online study with intensive on-campus experiences in Durham, N.H. Online students have a similar experience to students taking classes on campus, including learning with the same accomplished faculty, and receiving comparable academic and career supports.
“UNH Paul College was at the top of my list because of its focus on delivering the same top-tier business school benefits through its online program. I also liked how UNH Paul College offered a hybrid option. It's great to be able to attend classes in person,” said Joseph Wildey, online MBA student and director of marketing at RSG – Resource Systems Group, Inc. “The curriculum is not unique to the online program, but it is adapted to online learning needs. In the end, you can be certain you're earning a degree that carries just as much weight as someone who was able to enroll as a full-time student and attend in person.”
Students at UNH Paul can pursue a general MBA or specialize in one of six areas: finance, information systems and business analytics, marketing, global business, growth and innovation, or healthcare industry.
“Our program allows students to earn an MBA from a nationally renowned business school that holds the highest accreditation, AACSB accreditation,” said Victoria Parker, associate dean for graduate education and faculty administration. “Small class sizes, a hallmark of our program, help foster interaction among and between students and faculty.”
U.S. News ranks online MBA programs based on information regarding five dimensions that contribute to the quality of those programs. These categories include the ability of students to engage with faculty and classmates, the academic strength of the student body and graduation rate, the program’s reputation among leaders of peer programs, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.
