Research published by the Carsey School and authored by Rogelio Saenz and Corey Sparks was recently cited by Sean Edmund Rogers in an opinion piece in the CT News Junkie. Their research found that last April, 2020, during the pandemic, Latinos had the highest unemployment rate at nearly 19%, followed by Black workers at 16.4%. Whites had the lowest unemployment level at approximately 13%.
