Students on the UNH campus

UNH is once again among the nation’s best public universities.

UNH has once again made the grade as one of the nation’s best public universities.

U.S. News & World Report listed UNH among its Top Public Schools. UNH holds the number 46 spot. See the list.

The report hails UNH's hundreds of majors, going on to note, “Once on campus, students can explore more than 200 clubs, join an intramural sports team or eat with friends at one of the dining halls, which often serve locally produced foods. The many UNH Wildcats varsity athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division I within various conferences.”

U.S. News & World Report released its 2019 U.S. News Best Colleges rankings on Sept. 10. The publication's methodology for 2019 “places the heaviest weight on student outcomes, including analyzing schools' success at retaining and graduating students.”

The Best Colleges ranking follows other recent accolades: UNH has been named second on the Sierra Club’s “Cool Schools” list and is included on Money Magazine’s list of the Best Colleges for Your Money 2018.
