On April 29, Lauren Percy '16 was crowned Miss New Hampshire. Her talent performance was “Contemporary Ballet en Pointe to America from West Side Story.” Percy, who is currently a graduate student in Columbia University’s Teachers College, spoke with UNH Today about her love for UNH, interest in teaching and the Miss New Hampshire program shortly before her graduation last year. As Miss New Hampshire, Percy’s platform brings those interests together. Her focus is “Reach Higher: Making Higher Education Possible.” Percy will represent New Hampshire in the Miss America Pageant in September.
