Yvette Lazdowski

The University of New Hampshire at Manchester is pleased to welcome Yvette Lazdowski to the Business program faculty beginning summer 2017. Lazdowski comes to UNH from Plymouth State University where she taught a wide variety of courses in managerial and financial accounting and served as director of operations in the College of Business Administration.

In addition to holding a Doctorate in Business Administration in Accounting, Lazdowski is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager.  She brings over 20 years of experience in corporate accounting, information systems and management, having held positions at New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Textron Corporation, Kollsman Corporation and Fleet Bank Corporation.   

Lazdowski’s primary area of research is accounting history, and a subject in which she co-authored the publication A History of the Academy of Accounting Historians, 1999-2013.  She was awarded the Alfred R. Roberts Memorial Research Award in 2013 for her study of accounting history, which included extensive research and a doctoral dissertation on the early accounting history of the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Mich.  

Lazdowski currently serves as the Vice President of the Academy of Accounting Historians and is actively involved in several sections of the American Accounting Association, where she recently served as President of the Northeast Region.  Dr. Lazdowski is a proud and longtime resident of New Hampshire, and is an avid supporter of the accounting profession in the state.  She lives with her husband in central New Hampshire, where they enjoy outdoor activities and family vacations.
