Writing Program Requirements

All bachelor's degree candidates are required to complete four writing intensive courses as part of the University Writing Program Requirements as follows:

One Writing Intensive course in the Major
One Writing Intensive course at the 600-level or above
One Additional Writing Intensive Course

Writing Intensive courses are identified with the label "Writing Intensive Course" in the "Attributes" section of the course description and/or a W following the course number.

Major Requirements

Prerequisite: Must have completed an Associate Degree or equivalent in a related applied discipline aligning with Management applied discipline aligning with Management.

Prior to capstone enrollment, students are expected to complete all General Education program requirements. Students should consult with their advisor regarding specific major courses that may be completed with their capstone. Refer to the Degree Plan for a sample course sequence. Academic Advisor approval is required for registration to be processed.

A minimum grade of C- is required in all Major coursework.

Degree Type: Applied Bachelor of Science (A.B.S.)

UNH’s Applied Bachelor’s in Management 90-credit, three-year degree is not equivalent to a traditional, four-year baccalaureate degree. It is an accelerated degree program that some graduate programs, professional schools, and employers may not recognize or accept. Any student who wishes to may, at any time during their course of study, seamlessly transition from the 90-credit, three-year to the 120-credit, four-year Management degree program. UNH’s applied bachelor’s programs are eligible for Title IV federal financial aid. However, students who leave UNH having completed an applied bachelor’s degree but later choose to return to UNH or attend another institution to complete additional undergraduate credits, either to earn a certificate of post-baccalaureate studies or to earn a second bachelor’s degree, will not be eligible for federal grant aid and may have limited eligibility for other federal aid programs.
