This virtual workshop will discuss key components of a syllabus and strategies to structuring and articulating your course expectations to students. We encourage you to come to this interactive workshop with a syllabus that you are considering modifying or a specific course you are designing. Supporting Student’s Therapeutic Writing Workshop (click for registration)
Writing across the curriculum “To Feel What You Write: Therapeutic Composing in College Classrooms.” Facilitated by the University Writing Programs, we will discuss approaches for supporting and responding to student writing as a recuperative and expressive act, mindful of our roles and training. We'll look at examples of therapeutic writing, and possibly even write our own.  January 14^th 10:00 am – 11:00 am, EST.

Universal Design for Learning Workshops (through IOD) (click for registration)
These virtual workshops are open to everyone. Each session will talk about core principles of Universal Design for Learning (engagement, representation, action and expression) and how they support inclusive learning environments for the success of all students (with application discussion for STEM faculty, newer faculty, and graduate students). Difficult conversations and discussions in the classroom (click here to register):
Including explicitly establishing expectations including creating codes of conduct for the classroom, responding to micro-aggressions that occur during class. There are resources on campus to support you and our classes for particularly complex and challenging conversations. Showcase: Virtual Reality in the Classroom (click to register):
Discover how UNH faculty and staff are leveraging Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to enhance student learning! This session begins with a brief overview of virtual and augmented reality and their educational benefits. Faculty and staff will then share how they have integrated VR into courses, along with key considerations and resources for those interested in adopting this technology. Finally, participants will have the opportunity for hands-on demos at interactive stations, showcasing VR’s transformative impact on education. Monday Feb 17 1:00pm - 2:00pm Straffard Room

Book Club: Teaching with AI (click here to register):
The Teaching and Learning Book Club is a 3-session series in which participants read “Teaching with AI: A Practical Guide to a New Era of Human Learning.” Each hour-long discussion will explore different themes from the book and how you might apply what you have learned in your courses. Wednesdays Feb 12, Feb 26, March 12, 11:00am - 12:00pm, (hybrid)

Understanding the student experience and increasing motivation (click here to register):
This is an opportunity to discuss how students in our classroom have changed with regards to background, experiences, and motivation. We will discuss how, as educators, we can support them to still meet the course learning outcomes. This is an E3 think tank, proving an opportunity for open discussion among participants. Many efforts are underway to raise awareness, understanding, and effective use of AI within the UNH classroom. This will be an opportunity to provide some updates to one another and to be a place for the community to share with one another what’s working and what is still challenging. This is an E3 think tank, proving an opportunity for open discussion among participants. Academic Honesty and AI Policy: Transparency, Consistency and Student Conversations (click here to register):
This session will discuss being transparent and consistent in your approach to academic honesty in your syllabus and throughout the semester. In addition, we will talk about fruitful discussions with your students around AI policies and academic honesty in general. Wednesday, April 9^th at 2:00pm – 3:00pm (hybrid)
