Wildcat Pass introduced as COVID-19 compliance tool for students

Aug. 30, 2020

Dear Students,

We have expanded the hours for the COVID hotline to start at 7:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 31. Call the hotline at 603-862-2020 if you need help clearing your Wildcat Pass. Most of the updates you can do yourself by visiting https://covid-19.unh.edu/ and providing the needed information. Remember that it can take four hours to update My Profile or a Quarantine Attestation and 24 hours to update an Informed Consent when using this web page. If your updated information has not cleared, call the hotline to get a 24-hour override . The override is instantaneous when approved, so you can do it in the morning before class.

For the health and safety of our community, we are not allowing anyone on campus who does not have a negative COVID test. We understand that for some of you, your Wildcat Pass is invalid due to a missing test result. This can be for one of three reasons:

  1. You are not planning to come to campus.
  2. You are waiting for results from your first test.
  3. You have not been tested yet.

If you are not planning to come to campus over the course of the semester, you are not required to participate in testing and will not have a need for valid Wildcat Pass. Please contact your associate dean if you need assistance with your class schedule.

If you are waiting for the results of your first test, we understand your frustration with the delay. We ask you to be patient and not come to campus until you have received that negative test result. We are working closely with ConvenientMD and Quest and will upload the results to your Wildcat Pass automatically as soon as it is received. We are expecting a large data set from ConvenientMD in the morning so please check back.

If you have not picked up your self-test kits, you can come to the Whittemore Center Monday-Wednesday between 8 a.m.–12 p.m. If you are arriving to campus on Thursday or later, email unh.innovation@unh.edu and follow their directions on picking up your kits. We need all students to participate in the routine testing if they are coming to campus.

Even if you have not yet been tested prior to the start of classes, you will need to use your kit to submit your test sample according to the testing schedule here: https://www.unh.edu/coronavirus/faq under Testing. Monday groups are CEPS and Paul College. Expect to receive an email within 24-48 hours after you submit your sample. You will not be clear to come to campus until your test information is loaded into your Wildcat Pass. This may take several hours.

NOTE: Wildcat Pass compliance may change overnight. Please check your Wildcat Pass first thing in the morning, and if not related to waiting for a test result, please call the hotline at 603-862-2020 (open Monday at 7:30 a.m. to accommodate students with 8 a.m. classes) for a 24-hour override.

We have shared with your faculty that some students will be clearing their pass over the first week. Please email them if you are unable to attend class due to your Wildcat Pass status so that they can provide you with the zoom link or other class information.

Thank you.
