PPIA Junior Summer Institute

The Public Policy and International Affairs Program (PPIA)'s Junior Summer Institute (JSI) Fellowship Program is a seven-week, high-intensity experience that aims to address the lack of diversity in the public service field by propelling rising leaders toward graduate school and beyond. Hosted at one of the Junior Summer Institute sites, including top public policy graduate schools at Harvard, Princeton or the University of Michigan (each with its own area of expertise in public policy and public service), fellows will sharpen their analytical edge, expand their policy expertise, and build a powerful network of peers, faculty, and employers who will champion their journey well beyond the program.

Deadline: November

Value: Fully funded program. There is an expectation that participants will attend graduate school at a PPIA consortium school in pursuit of a degree in public policy, public administration, or international affairs. Minimum of a one-time $5,000 scholarship at a PPIA graduate school if admitted to a master's degree program.

Eligibility: U.S. Citizens who are undergraduate juniors who demonstrate an interest in a public service career and plan to pursue graduate study in public policy, public administration, or international affairs.

Major: All academic majors are welcome to apply.

Nomination: No, but applicants are strongly encouraged to work with the Office of National Fellowships on their applications.
