Congressional Fellowship

Throughout this semester-long program, Congressional Fellows learn about politics first-hand from Members of Congress, both in their home District Offices and on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Fellows grow their network of political insiders and understand what it takes to run, win and serve.

Value: $1,000 stipend and an all expenses paid week of in-person training in Washington, DC.

Eligibility: Applicants must be female college juniors or seniors or have graduated from college within a year of the Star Fellowship start date. Women who have already started graduate school an ineligible to apply. Running Start looks for Star Fellow applicants who have proven that they are motivated in the classroom and involved in extracurricular activities. Priority will be given to women who can demonstrate their involvement with their community and their school.
