SFC Jacob Alexander


SFC Alexander enlisted in the United States Army from Charlotte, NC in 2008. He completed One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia as an Infantryman.

Serving in various enlisted leadership positions from Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapon’s Squad Leader, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, and First Sergeant.

SFC Alexander’s previous assignments include 1st Battalion 28th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion 1st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion 15th Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion 50th Infantry Regiment, and 1st Battalion 27th Infantry Regiment.

He is a graduate of Air Assault School, Drill Sergeant Academy, Stryker Leader’s Course, Equal Opportunity Leader’s Course, Sexual Harassment Assault and Prevention Course and completed each level of the Noncommissioned Officers Education System through Senior Leaders course.

SFC Alexander’s operational deployments include one deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and one deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal fourth award, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with combat star, NATO medal, Iraq Campaign medal with combat star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with 2 numeral, Army Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Citation 2nd Award, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Silver).

In addition SFC Alexander has been inducted into the Order of Saint Maurice (Legionnaire). Prior to his arrival at the University of New Hampshire SFC Alexander completed an assignment as a First Sergeant in 1st Battalion 27th Infantry Regiment “Wolfhounds”.
