We recommend exiting at Route 155A for the easiest access to parking, then following the directions below to your lot.

D-Lot (Elliot Alumni Center)

GPS address: 9 Edgewood Road, Durham, NH

• Exit at Route 155A toward Durham (3rd exit referencing "Durham" if coming from Route 4).
• Continue onto Main Street toward downtown Durham.
• At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Main Street (0.5 mi).
• Turn left onto Edgewood Road.
• Proceed straight on Edgewood Road for 0.2 mi.
• Turn left onto Strafford Ave. D-Lot is on the left.

B-Lot

GPS address: B Lot, McDaniel Drive, Durham, NH

• Exit at Route 155A toward Durham (3rd exit referencing "Durham" if coming from Route 4).
• Follow 155A to the UNH campus.
• At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit to stay on Main Street.
• Turn right onto College Road, continuing as it becomes McDaniel Drive (0.6 mi). B-Lot is on your left.

Edgewood Road Visitor Lot — Reserved Accessible Parking

GPS address: 5 Edgewood Rd, Durham, NH (state-issued placard or plate required)

• Exit at Route 155A toward Durham (3rd exit referencing "Durham" if coming from Route 4).
• Continue onto Main Street toward downtown Durham.
• At the traffic circle, continue straight on Main Street (0.5 mi).
• Turn left onto Edgewood Road. The visitor lot and H-Lot are on the left.
• This lot offers the closest access to the Hamel Recreation Center for check-in and the first session.

• A limited number of wheelchairs are available to borrow until 4 p.m. the day of the program — ask any admissions staff member.
• Visitors using temporary mobility aids (crutches, scooters, canes) may access accessible parking without a placard.
• An access van for on-campus transportation is available for those with accessibility needs, including temporary mobility impairments: call (603) 862-2328, option 2, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

Our Open House is a large campus event, with approximately 1,200 visitors attending during each start time (about 2,400 visitors total). After the University Welcome Panel, visitors will break into smaller groups to attend academic and student life sessions across campus. Following the schedule included with your registration helps minimize crowding and ensures the best experience for everyone.

At registration, you chose either a guided campus tour or to opt out — this determines your printed overall schedule, which you'll receive at check-in and by email the week of the event. The printed schedule covers your personalized agenda; the mobile app covers all academic session details (times, locations, descriptions).

Add about 20 minutes to your GPS travel estimate for parking and navigating campus. Arriving 30 minutes before your start time gives you room to park, pick up materials, and plan your day.

Sessions run on a set schedule, so review the agenda ahead of time to prioritize what matters most to you. If you arrive after 10:45 a.m., check in with an admissions staff member at the information tables outside Smith Hall or the Memorial Union Building.

A water bottle (hydration stations are located across campus) and your preferred note-taking materials. You may also want a phone or camera for photos.

Yes — while the guided campus tour doesn't include a residence hall visit, four residence halls are open for self-guided touring from 11a.m.– 3:30p.m. Residence hall staff and student residents will be on hand to answer questions about housing, roommates, and more. Learn more about UNH housing

Lunch in the dining hall is free for registered students and guests. Lunch tickets are distributed at check-in in the Hamel Recreation Center, 7:45–10:45 a.m. Arriving after 10:45 a.m.? Check in with staff at Smith Hall or the Memorial Union Building instead. Casual dining options are also available on campus, and downtown Durham (a five-minute walk) has additional restaurants and cafes.

Visit the resource fair to meet representatives from some of UNH's 200+ student organizations (not all can attend Open House — ask at the table for the Memorial Union Building if you don't see one you're interested in). Athletic coaches aren't at Open House, but you can learn more about UNH's Division I teams on our athletics website.

Download the UNH Mobile App (Apple App Store or Google Play) for session times, locations, and details. If you can't download the app, ask any staff member for session locations.

No — sessions take place across campus. Locations are listed in the mobile app. Comfortable shoes (or any mobility supports you use) are recommended, since the day involves moving between buildings.

Yes. Open House is the only fall event with representatives from every undergraduate major, so you're welcome to attend as many sessions as fit your schedule. In the app, session descriptions indicate whether it's drop-in (come and go as you please) or structured (info session and/or facility tour, at a set time).

Prioritize the sessions that matter most to you. Don't worry if you need to arrive late or leave early—our faculty, staff, and student presenters expect attendees to move between sessions throughout the day.

If you have free time between sessions, consider attending the welcome panel, taking a general campus tour, or exploring the resource fair to get a broader sense of life at UNH.

Can't fit everything into one day? No problem. UNH offers campus tours and admissions information sessions throughout the year, so you'll have additional opportunities to visit.

To make the most of your day, we also recommend having your guests attend a session on your behalf while you participate in another session offered at the same time.

Staff wearing blue lanyards are on hand throughout the event — please don't hesitate to ask. Admissions counselors and student ambassadors staff the main information tables from 7:45 a.m.–4 p.m.; academic-area information tables run 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
