Green Zone Training 

The Military & Veteran Services Office offers "Green Zone" Trainings to UNH departments, offices, classes, and the community as an introduction to the student Veteran population on campus.  This sixty-minute training is led by an MVS staff member as well as one of our student Veteran volunteers and covers:

  • The Mission, Vision, and Values of the UNH MVS Office
  • Federally established Keys for Success on for student Veterans on campus
  • Demographics on Veteran population in NH broadly and at UNH specifically
  • How to communicate with student Veterans
  • Common challenges faced by student Veterans
  • Unique perspective and skills student Veterans bring to the classroom

QPR Suicide Prevention Training on Campus 

As part of an effort to improve the lives of our student body, to include our Veterans, UNH has implemented a Question*Persuade*Refer (QPR) suicide response and prevention model.  This program trains UNH students, faculty, and staff on how to best serve and support student in crisis. To request QPR training, please visit UNH Psychological and Counseling Services (PACS).
