The Dairy Bar
The railroad station in Durham, New Hampshire serves the Amtrak Downeaster and is situated west of downtown Durham on the campus of the University of New Hampshire (UNH). The station was originally built in 1896 in Lynn, Massachusetts and was moved to the present site in Durham when the Boston and Maine Railroad moved its tracks further from the center of campus. The 2001 renovated and expanded station includes the new Dairy Bar restaurant and a climate controlled lobby open 5:30am-10pm daily. The lobby houses the Amtrak Quik-Trak machine for reservations and printing boarding tickets.
The Dairy Bar restaurant offers made-to-order menu items with a focus on local, sustainable and fresh foods. Open daily until 4:00pm, the Dairy Bar features all of your favorites like Blake's local ice cream, wholesome breakfast items and upscale sandwiches and local greens, all served in compostable packaging to limit our environmental impact. It is a whole new experience at a whole new Dairy Bar.
