Fourteen teams of researchers have received funding for interdisciplinary projects through the Collaborative Research Excellence initiative

UNH researchers have published their findings in the British Journal of Nutrition on the connection between cognitive function and dietary fat consumption in Hispanic/Latino adults, and the news may be surprising.

Since joining the UNH Manchester faculty in 2013, Dr. Sue Cooke, lecturer of biological sciences, has designed courses that not only appeal to her students’ interests, but also develop skills and knowledge that apply to the real world.

The University of New Hampshire at Manchester is hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. At Open House, high school juniors and seniors as well as transfer students and guests can tour campus, meet faculty and learn about the UNH experience from current students.

The 2020 Civic Health Index was released earlier this year by the Carsey School of Public Policy. Michele Holt-Shannon, Director of New Hampshire Listens and Quixada Moore-Vissing, Carsey fellow and Index co-author, were interviewed by the Manchester Ink Link on the importance of high civic health levels to healthy communities.

Steve Frolking and Roy Torbert have been elected to the 2021 Class of Fellows of the American Geophysical Union. 

The passage from high school to college can be challenging, and it can be especially difficult for first-generation and multilingual learners. In response, a multidisciplinary team from UNH Manchester created a workshop to ease the transition to higher education for students in our communities.

Mechanical engineering student Cornelius Plomp '22 and engineering physics student Trevor Cox '22 each participated in a competitive internship experience at DEKA, working on an array of research projects for some of the most innovative companies in the world. They share their experience on how the hands-on experience will prepare them for their careers and how it helped shaped the type of companies they plan to pursue employment at in the near future.

UNH has expanded its partnership with the Peace Corps to offer the Paul D. Coverdell Fellows program to returned Peace Corps volunteers who wish to pursue a Master of Science in Global Conflict and Human Security.
