The Keene Sentinel Source recently reported on 2020 U.S. Census data that shows that the population in New Hampshire's Cheshire County decreased over the last decade. The Source noted, in an interview with the Carsey School's Ken Johnson, that the state's more urbanized counties grew in population, partly from migration. However, several more rural counties – Cheshire among them – saw population descreases from people moving out of them and from natural decreases (more births than deaths).
