The Pittsburg, Kansas-based Morning Sun newspaper recently reported that the state taxes collected in Kansas have been largely unaffected by the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic and were higher than to be expected. A report conducted in July by the research team at Carsey School of Public Policy showed Kansas was one of the only states, out of 14 total, with a larger economy following the first quarter of 2021.
