Birth rate falls for fourth year in a row

According to a report published by the National Center for Health Statistics, the United States birth rate fell in 2018 for the fourth year in a row. Kenneth Johnson, a demographer at the Carsey School, estimated that if the rate had remained steady at its 2007 level, there would have been 5.7 million more births in the country since then.
