UNH Police Make Arrest in Weekend Assault

DURHAM, N.H. - University of New Hampshire police arrested a Dover man Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, and charged him with second-degree assault in connection with a fight that occurred on campus in the Gables apartment complex around 1 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.
Evan M. Towle, 20, of 32 6th Street, Dover, was arrested and charged with second degree assault. He was released on $25,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in 7th Circuit Court in Dover Oct. 25, 2012. Towle is not a UNH student.
The 19-year-old victim was treated and released from an area hospital.
The detective division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the early morning assault and more arrests are expected.
