Summer internship opens door to industrial engineer job at Pratt & Whitney

Alana Pettaway’s mechanical engineering degree from the University of New Hampshire landed her a job as an industrial engineer at Pratt & Whitney — while also teaching her to welcome new challenges and to embrace the opportunity to constantly redefine herself. Pettaway ’22 credits strong support from UNH Career and Professional Success (CaPS), industry partners and professors for preparing her to land first a summer internship, then a co-op and then a full-time job at Pratt & Whitney.
