Expenses, childcare shortages drive drop in U.S. birthrate for 6th straight year

Carsey School of Public Policy Senior Demographer Ken Johnson joins NBC News to discuss some of the causes of the U.S. birthrate dropping for the sixth year in a row. The Pew Research Center reports that 44 percent of people ages 18-49 who are not parents, say they’re not likely to have children someday.
