Jamie Silverstein has been named the University of New Hampshire’s director of off-campus engagement and fraternity and sorority life, effective Oct. 1. Silverstein has spent the last four years as the university’s coordinator of fraternity and sorority life.

In her new role Silverstein will lead UNH’s efforts to engage off-campus students and constituents, including the fraternity and sorority life (FSL) community. She will oversee programming, risk management and long-term strategic planning in the same areas.

She will also serve as the primary contact for the FSL community, off-campus students and other key stakeholders, including local chapters, council leadership, alumni, national and international headquarters, town officials and the local community.

Prior to arriving at UNH, Silverstein earned her master’s degree in college student development and counseling from Northeastern University. She worked as a graduate assistant in student activities and fraternity and sorority life for Emerson College and Northeastern University.
