According to Kenneth Johnson, senior demographer at the Carsey School, a "baby boom" during the coronavirus pandemic is extremely unlikely. "There's no way that the number of births is going to go up." said Johnson to CNN, "This is not the kind of environment in which people say 'let's bring a child into the world'".
