UNH President Mark Huddleston
President Mark Huddleston

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing with an important update on the National Education Association’s campaign to unionize subsets of the university’s OS and PAT employees. Friday afternoon, we learned that the union has formally withdrawn its petitions to the Public Employee Labor Relations Board (PELRB) to organize OS and PAT employees.

This is an important outcome because it means there will not be a union election for the OS and PAT groups identified in the petitions filed by the union last December. The Health Services and Counseling Center petition continues to work through the PELRB process. The university will provide updates on this petition as they become available.

As you have read in previous communications, the university leadership believes that OS and PAT employees and others on campus working together cooperatively and creatively puts UNH in the strongest position to achieve its academic, research and outreach mission. We are grateful for the attention and time that employees have dedicated to understanding the complex issues around unionization.

Sincerely,

Mark W. Huddleston
President
