On March 24th, Robin Sheriff’s ANTH 510 Animals, Identity and Culture class visited the UNH Organic Dairy facility in Lee.  The tour, led by Kimberly Meader, was part of a class assignment designed to expose students to the many ways that research universities study and use live animals.  UNH is one of only two land-grant universities to operate a fully organic dairy operation.  Students found the cows as friendly as puppies and they were charmed by the newest members of the herd, calves born in the past few weeks.  ANTH 510 will be offered again in Spring 2018.
