Charles Zercher Named Interim Dean of CEPS

Associate Dean Charles “Chuck” Zercher has been named interim dean of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. The associate dean for academic affairs since 2014, he began his new role July 1.
Zercher served as chair of the chemistry from department from 2010 to 2013. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania, a Master of Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985, and a Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Notre Dame in 1989.
Following postdoctoral studies at Stanford University, Zercher joined the UNH faculty. He was awarded the Outstanding Assistant Professor Award in 1996 and was promoted to professor in 2003.
