In January the UNH Alumni Association in partnership with the Yellowstone Association hosted an active and educational tour to Yellowstone National Park. The customized trip was an adventure for eight faculty, staff, alumni and friends of UNH that few get to experience.

The natural tranquility and beauty of Yellowstone Park in the winter months is unique and awe inspiring. The travelers got to participate in the planning of this UNH-exclusive tour, which was led by John Bunker, associate dean of the College of Health and Human Services and a longtime Yellowstone enthusiast.

In addition to enjoying true western hospitality and ambiance at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Old Faithful Snow Lodge, the group also enjoyed snow coaches and snowshoeing to fascinating locations including Old Faithful, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Yellowstone Lake and intimate encounters with herds of bison and other wildlife sightings.

John Bunker is currently working on a January term educational program for students and is always ready to share his knowledge and experiences of Yellowstone with the UNH community.

For more info about the trip call the Alumni Association at (603) 862-3764.
