The health management minor at UNH will prepare you for work in a range of areas including government agencies, nonprofit organizations and private healthcare facilities. You’ll receive a rich classroom experience with opportunities to participate in research and community outreach. You’ll also be able to get involved with the campus chapters of professional organizations such as the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American Public Health Association.
The department of Health Management and Policy (HMP) offers an integrated minor in health management, designed for students in majors outside of Health Management and Policy who are interested in learning about the business leadership aspects of healthcare. Students seeking to minor in health management should meet with the academic department coordinator to discuss the requirements.

HMP 401 must be taken before completing 600 and 700 level courses.
Prerequisite courses must be completed for all HMP courses.
The Health Management and Policy department welcomes applications for admission from current UNH students who wish to transfer from other degree programs at UNH, however, HMP is not accepting applications from other institutions. There are several Discovery, University, and Health Management and Policy introduction courses that are appropriate for students who are interested in, but not yet committed to the major.
