The Early Childhood Development minor is designed for individuals seeking to supplement non-education degrees with courses that may be applied towards DHHS credentialing in early childhood. Courses in this minor model curriculum standards set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
This program provides a foundation for working with young children in childcare or early school experiences.
All minor courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C-, and a 2.0 grade point average must be maintained in courses for the minor. Two courses must be at the upper level (600 or 700). Only 8 credits may overlap between major and minor.
