Recreation Management & Policy

Skiing has long been central to New Hampshire's economy and culture and it comprises a large part of the state's tourism market. Snowsports are the second largest contributor to New Hampshire's $3.9 billion dollar outdoor recreation economy and mountain resorts are now a 4-season business encompassing adventure sports, conferences, hospitality, real estate, and events. 

Combining academic work, field experience, and risk management competencies, this program bridges the gap between students and potential careers in the local, state, and regional ski and snowboard industry. This cognate capitalizes on the growing interest in ski industry jobs and careers.
