Film screening (Flamin’ Hot, 2023, directed by Eva Longoria) followed by a discussion of how Latinx communities are portrayed in movies. Film synopsis: Richard Montañez, the son of a Mexican immigrant, was working as a janitor at Frito-Lay when he conceived the idea for Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Drawing inspiration from the flavors of his culture, his creation revitalized Frito-Lay and made a significant impact on the food industry. Audience: open to students, faculty, and staff
