Gaypril: Campus Pride Month is a month-long celebration of the lives and experiences of LGBTQIAP+ people. We hope to see you there!

 

Gaypril: Campus Pride Month is coordinated by the Aulbani J. Beauregard Center for Equity, Justice, and Freedom in collaboration with : UNH Alliance, Trans UNH, The Bill Kidder Fund, Office of Community, Equity, and Diversity, Global Education, Health and Wellness, SHARPP,  Diversity Support Coalition, Alumni Affairs, Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, NH Listens, UNH Graduate Student Non-Binary Support Group.

30th Annual Pride & Pancakes Celebration

For over two decades the Kidder Fund, named for late UNH professor William “Bill” Kidder, has sponsored awards for those within the UNH community advancing initiatives important to the LGBTQIA+ community. These awards are presented annually at the Pride and Pancakes Celebration. This year's breakfast promises to be especially festive! 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the breakfast as well as the 50th anniversary of UNH's first Gay Students Organization (GSO)

 

Spotlight On: Healthy Relationships & Queer Identities

The lessons we learn about relationships are typically billed as universal, but more often than not they come from a cisnormative and heteronormative perspective. In this program, we’ll explore relationship dynamics from a queer POV, covering what “the research” tells us (which may surprise you!) and examining how our own experiences and wisdom compare. Disclaimer: relationships of all kinds can be queer – sexual or romantic relationship experience not required!

 

Drag Ball

Basics of Community Organizing Workshop

Study Abroad and Study Away for the LGBTQ+ Community

UNH has hundreds of options for studying abroad or studying away for all majors & interests—there is something for every identity! Learn how to find an off-campus experience (in the US or abroad) that fits your academic, financial, and personal needs AND celebrates your queerness. Presenters are members of the UNH LGBTQ+ Community and will present information on how to find your perfect program, and will share their journeys.

Pillow Talk: The Pleasure Gap

Join Sexual Well-Being Intern Olivia Arangio for an open conversation about all things pleasure, why people who were assigned female at birth tend to experience less of it, and how to work towards bridging this gap. Open to UNH students of all identities

 

Warm Cookies and Coming Out Stories

Trans UNH and NH listens are opening up space for folks to share coming out stories and all the emotions that come with those stories. Come enjoy a warm cookie and hear about the heart-warming, the embarrassing, the awkward, and everything else. The floor will be open to anyone who wants to share.

Annual Kidder lecture with a twist; this year the lecture will be replaced by a panel discussion followed by breakout sessions.

 

LGBTQIA+ Leadership Panel

This will be a panel discussion of LGBTQIA+ leaders in New Hampshire who will answer questions about their experiences in starting an organization and working in public office.

 

Trans UNH Open Meeting: Transgender History

Join Trans UNH for our monthly open meeting. We will be discussing all things related to transgender history to celebrate the amazing transgender folks of the past and present!

Gaypril Picnic

4/24/23 |4-5pm EST | Thompson Hall Lawn near flagpole.

Rain location: Sociology Grad Student Lounge (McConnell 338)

Potluck picnic, lawn games, and sing-a-long to affirm non-binary and expansive gender identities. The goal of this event is to provide space and community for the affinity group of non-binary & gender expansive students/faculty/staff as well as to those who identify as allies.

Get Yourself Tested! (GYT) Month

Happening all month long! GYT! Get yourself tested/screened for STIs/HIV at Health & Wellness during the month of April and get a free $5 gift card. Offer available to all UNH students. To register visit Health and Wellness. Testing it is not free and will be billed to your insurance or you can pay out of pocket. Appointments are confidential and by appointment.
