Eos READS For Black Lives: UNH Session

Friday, October 02, 2020 - 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

on Zoom

Eos is an organization dedicated to Africana receptions of ancient Greece and Rome and working for long-term anti-racist change in the field of Classics. READS For Black Lives is a special event intended to foster conversation and cooperation across disciplines. The UNH session is open to everyone in humanities, arts, and social sciences at UNH. We will read selections from Frantz Fanon’s “Concerning Violence” from The Wretched of the Earth (1961) and Margo Hendricks’ “Coloring the Past, Rewriting Our Future: RaceB4Race” (2019) and discuss how we can apply what we read to the everyday fight against anti-Blackness and White supremacy needed in the academy and beyond.

Registration is required. To register and receive the readings for the event, please contact harriet.fertik@unh.edu by September 25th
