In January 2019, during an address to all members of the UNH community, President Dean shared his vision for the future of UNH through four strategic priorities that will guide the university's success, and help lead UNH towards a bold, overarching aspiration - to be among the top 25 public universities in the country in the most important measures of student success. Therefore, this year's award recipients will be individuals selected by the committee based on their demonstrated excellence, contributions and impact connecting to these four strategic priorities:
- Enhance Student Success and Well-Being
- Expand Academic Excellence
- Embrace New Hampshire
- Build Financial Strength
Unfortunately due to our current operational status nominations are not being accepted at this time for the Presidential Award of Excellence. When we are able to resume this program and our annual staff recognition program, Human Resources will communicate this to the UNH community. Thank you.
UNH Human Resources
Before his death in 1993, UNH alumnus and former Dean of Students William "Bill" Kidder established a fund to support educational efforts directed at enhancing the understanding of sexual minorities and gender identities. The annual awards seek to honor those who, through their scholarship, leadership, or outstanding efforts, foster greater understanding of sexual orientation and gender expression at the University of New Hampshire. This award is presented annually to selected student, faculty and staff members.
2019 Nominations are being accepted January 24 - March 9, 2019. These awards will be presented at the annual LGBTQ+ Pancake Breakfast usually scheduled in April. In 2019, this event will be held on April 9th on the Durham campus in the MUB's Granite State Room from 8:00am - 10:00am
