Founded in 1866, the University of New Hampshire is a top-tier land-, sea-, and space-grant public university, serving more than 10,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students. WHITTEMORE CENTER
ARENA: TOWSE RINK

Whittemore Center Arena

The Whittemore Center is a $30 million multipurpose arena that opened in November, 1995. The Arena is home to the nationally ranked UNH Wildcats ice hockey teams. A versatile venue, the "Whit" can accommodate a number of seating arrangements for different events. For example, the capacity for an athletic game is approximately 6,500, while certain types of concerts can seat up to 7,500. Each year a quarter of a million patrons are entertained at more than a hundred athletic events, popular music concerts, and family and trade shows. More info: www.whittcenter.com. Towse Rink

Thrilling UNH Wildcat games are played right here at the ice arena in the Whittemore Center. But athletics aren't the only events that play here to sold-out audiences. The arena has also hosted concerts with Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, and Tim McGraw, as well as Broadway performances of Cats and Jesus Christ Superstar. The Arena is the venue of choice for large University events such as UNH presidential inaugurations, capital campaign celebrations, honors convocation, and other academic ceremonies.

Skybox Lounge

The Skybox Lounge is an attractive, bright, comfortable and spacious, yet intimate meeting space. Located on the top level of the Whittemore Center Arena, this area is an aesthetically pleasing and highly desirable location to hold any special event. It offers a refreshing alternative to the average meeting space. The University has utilized the Skybox Lounge to host brunches and receptions for legislators and other key university constituents.

Memorial Union Building

Granite State Room

The Granite State Room at the MUB is a multifunction room ideally suited for banquets, receptions, lectures, fairs, workshops, dances, musical performances, and special ceremonies. It will support multimedia presentations and is equipped with a sound system. The room may also include the use of a stage (maximum size 24' x 18') and is equipped with a permanently mounted, large movie screen. The Granite State Room has hosted events as varied as the UNH President's annual State of the University Address and concerts by the UNH Symphony Orchestra. It also served as the media room during a national presidential debate.

Strafford Room

The Strafford Room at the MUB is a multifunction room ideal for banquets, receptions, lectures, fairs, workshops, dances, musical performances, and special ceremonies. It will support multimedia presentations and is equipped with a sound system. The room may also include the use of a stage (24' x 12') and is equipped with a permanently mounted, large movie screen. The Strafford Room has hosted academic convocations, distinguished visiting lecturers, and the Student Senate/Board of Trustees Banquet. It also served as the media "spin room" for a national presidential debate.

Piscataqua Room

The Piscataqua Room at Holloway Commons has everything necessary to make your conference, meeting, or other event successful. The distinctively shaped room – including a large, semi-circular area at one end – has two wall partitions that can easily divide the room into three separate enclosed rooms to accommodate your needs. The Piscataqua Room has hosted formal dinners, career fairs, executive training seminars, and served as the media room for a national presidential debate.

HUDDLESTON HALL
DINING ROOM

Huddleston Hall

Huddleston Hall is one of the oldest buildings on the University of New Hampshire campus. It was designed by UNH architect Eric T. Huddleston in the eighteenth century Federal Georgian style with columns at the entryways, white woodwork, and Palladian windows, accented by peaked roofs with gables. Dining Room

The elegant environment and soft lighting of Huddleston Hall's dining room creates an inviting and warm atmosphere to accommodate various events throughout the year. The dining room has hosted high tea for the 50th year reunion class, the delegates' dinner for presidential inaugurations, community breakfasts, and presidential candidate campaign speeches. It has also served as the "spin room" for national presidential debates.

Paul Creative Arts Center

The Paul Creative Arts Center houses two theatres, three dressing rooms, a well equipped scene shop, a costume shop, a green room, storage facilities, classrooms, and the offices for the departments of Music, Theatre and Dance, and the Arts. Johnson Theatre

The Paul Creative Arts Center's Johnson Theatre is a fully equipped, 688 seat, proscenium theatre and the largest auditorium space on campus. Major Department of Theatre and Dance productions are produced on the Johnson stage. In addition to the theatrical productions staged there, the University has utilized the theatre for dedicating new academic centers, kicking off capital campaigns, and hosting national presidential debates.

ELLIOTT ALUMNI CENTER
1925 ROOM

Elliott Alumni Center

The Elliott Alumni Center has welcomed alumni, parents, friends, and members of the UNH community since 1976. The center was designed by Banwell, White and Arnold of Hanover in a distinctive style that takes advantage of its wooded site near the corner of Strafford Avenue and Edgewood Road. 1925 Room

The 1925 Room is a large triangular shaped space with a unique dual sided fireplace situated near the entrance to the room.  The room opens out on to a patio overlooking Pettee Brook and a serene wooded area. Amenities such as an adjacent kitchen area, wireless internet access and an installed public address system make this room a versatile venue for events and programs.   There is plenty of space to hold meetings, training seminars and workshops as well as receptions, weddings, luncheons and dinners. The 1925 Room has hosted visits from local and national community leaders and businesses, area residents, university offices and departments, staff, students and alumni.

Theatres I and II

The air-conditioned MUB Movie Theatres are utilized by many organizations to bring alternative programs to campus in order to expand thinking, enhance and complement curriculum, and build on course concepts in different settings to help bring subjects to life. The theatres regularly show independent films as well as blockbuster films. The theatres are also utilized for lecture-style meetings and presentations as well as overflow viewing for events on campus.

MURKLAND HALL
RICHARD'S AUDITORIUM

Richard's Auditorium - Murkland Hall

Richard's Auditorium in Murkland Hall is a state of the art presentation room. The facility is air-conditioned, seats 239, and is an excellent venue for small theater productions and all special events. The acoustics are second to none. Renovated to its original architectural grandeur in 2003, the auditorium features a fully integrated lighting dimming system, AV projectors and projections screens, and window shading system. Other Auditoriums on Campus

The University also has many other auditoriums. Horton Social Science Center's Auditorium, Spaulding Hall's Auditorium, and the Iddles Auditoriums in Parsons Hall. All are equipped with state-of-the-art presentation and technology capabilities and can be utilized for overflow audience viewing or lecture style meetings. The Iddles Auditoriums served as overflow audience viewing for a national presidential debate.

FIELD HOUSE
LUNDHOLM GYMNASIUM

Field House

The Field House is the hub of UNH Athletics. It is the home to the Athletics Department's administrative offices as well as the gymnasium, newly renovated Paul Sweet indoor track, indoor pool and gymnastics training room. Lundholm Gymnasium

Lundholm Gymnasium is home to both the women's and men's basketball teams, the volleyball team, and the gymnastics team. The gym, dedicated in 1968 to Carl Lundholm, a 1921 graduate of the University and also the Athletics Department's director from 1939 to 1963, had served as the primary home of the Wildcat basketball programs for several decades. Restored in 2001, Lundholm Gymnasium has computer controlled lights and a refinished floor. Bleachers in Lundholm Gymnasium were replaced in 2007.
