Faculty Development and Scholar Grants

Faculty Development Grants

Faculty development grants support professional development of benefits-eligible faculty by providing funding for the acquisition of new skills. Funds can be used to advance the career of a junior faculty member or provide the means for a senior faculty member to acquire or expand new competencies or pursue new directions. Joint proposals from more than one faculty will only be considered in special circumstances. A request for applications is sent to eligible faculty at the beginning of each semester.

Faculty Scholars Program

The Faculty Scholars Program provides UNH scholars who are at a critical stage in completing a phase of their ongoing work with the opportunity to devote themselves full time to their scholarly activity for at least one semester. The committee anticipates that this opportunity will help recipients make a major contribution to their professional development or to the culmination of a major scholarly effort. Applications are accepted each fall from tenured faculty.
