Scholarships are a UNH priority

Raising funds for scholarships is a top priority for UNH so that qualified students who want to attend can do so, and graduate, without incurring crippling debt. Student Impact Scholarships help UNH attract, support and graduate a diverse and talented pool of students who will contribute to the university community and go on to be productive citizens in communities around the world. These scholarships also allow donors to connect with the individual student beneficiaries of their philanthropy.

33% of UNH students are the first in their families to attend college and/or come from families earning less than $30,000 per year.

Why fund a Student Impact Scholarship?

Quite simply, impact. The full amount of a Student Impact Scholarship goes directly to a student in need and supports them through their four years at UNH. For students whose existing financial aid package does not cover the gap between the cost of attendance and what their family can afford, a Student Impact Scholarship can make all the difference. The scholarship also helps ensure the recipient can enjoy a full, engaging and rewarding UNH experience and make discoveries—about themselves and about the world—that will serve them well for life. Your gift is a lifetime of opportunity.

How you can help

You can provide an outstanding education to a student for whom UNH might otherwise be out of reach by funding a Student Impact Scholarship with a four-year commitment of $2,500 or more annually. You may designate your gift to support an in-state or an out-of-state student in any college within the university.

To learn more about how you can establish a Student Impact Scholarship, please e-mail annual.giving@unh.edu.

All gifts received by December 31 each year will be awarded to a student in time for the following fall semester.
