New snack machines coming to campus

Following the recent bidding on UNH's vending contract, Premium Vending will be bringing new vending machines to campus.

The company, which is headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, will be replacing machines over the remainder of the summer, starting with the highest sales-volume machines first and working to transition all buildings as soon as possible.

Vending was recently bid as a USNH systemwide shared services contract and has several key benefits, including:

  • Card readers: Each machine will be able to accept the campus debit funds (Cat’s Cache and Dining Dollars) as well as credit cards.
  • Snack macines: All units are being replaced with the new vendor, and many will be brand new state-of-the-art machines.
  • Improved net revenue: The commissions UNH receives from will increase incrementally due to a change to the commission percentages returned to the university.
