How Using the UNH Campus Walking Guide Can Help You Get Your Daily Steps!

As students we hustle to our classes every day throughout campus, but have you ever wondered how far you have walked in a day? Now you can figure out how far you have walked using the UNH Campus Walking Guide!  This guide uses Google Maps to help track how far you have walked in a day. The guide is simple to use and even has the option to use this map with your cell phone!

Walking is a very important aspect in our life and is a great relaxed form of physical activity. The US Surgeon General recommends that adults should walk about 10,000 steps per day, which is about five miles. Using the UNH Campus Walking Guide, you can estimate how many miles you walk in a day to see if you meet to US Surgeon General daily recommendations.

Here are some tips on how you can help make sure you achieve your steps goal every day!

1. Listen to music while walking, it makes it more relaxing!

2. Bring a friend with you for a walk!

3. Take the long way to class if you can!
