Honors Convocation

Friday, May 15
4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Line-up at 3:30 p.m.
Whittemore Center Arena

Faculty assemble in the Skybox Lounge of the Whittemore Arena (access by stairs or elevator at far end of lobby) at 3:30 p.m. There is a formal procession and faculty are seated in front of the stage.

Saturday, May 16
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Line-up at 9:30 a.m. for 9:40 procession start
Memorial Field (in front of the Whittemore Arena)

Faculty assemble in the student line up areas and form columns through which the graduates process as they enter the ceremony. Faculty then follow the graduates and are seated on stages facing the graduates and guests.

Group of Faculty WalkingAll faculty from all schools and colleges, full-time, part-time, emeriti, tenured, adjunct, etc. are invited and encouraged to particpate in both the Honors Convocation and Commencement Ceremonies.

These ceremonies celebrate the culmination of achievement for students whose education and lives you have helped shape during their time here at UNH. Your attendance sends a strong message to the students that you support them and are proud of their accomplishments. They and their families will genuinely appreciate your participation.


Formal academic regalia, as determined by your highest degree and the institution at which it was earned, is required for both ceremonies.

If you do not own regalia, it may be rented or purchased through the independent vendor, University Cap and Gown by completing this form online or by calling 978-686-4566.

The vendor will know what regalia is appropriate to your degree and institution. Faculty are responsible for all charges associated with the rental, purchase and shipping of regalia.


Parking for faculty for both ceremonies is available in Lot D at the Elliot Alumni Center.
