For a researcher whose sights are trained on the bottom of the Arctic Ocean, Kevin Jerram ‘14G has seen plenty of stunning scenery — and more than a few polar bears — during his month-long cruise on board the Swedish icebreaker Oden. Jerram, a research scientist in UNH’s Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping, and CCOM director Larry Mayer join dozens of other researchers on an expedition to the Petermann Glacier of northwest Greenland that runs through early September. Tapping all available bandwidth in the Arctic, Jerram sent a few thoughts and images from the cruise.
